Confessions of a Closet Wal Mart Junkie
Ok, it's out in the open. Despite my best attempts at socially responsible shopping I have to confess that right now Wal Mart is my go-to place. I kind of soured on Target after trying to return some items after Jill was born, items I had purchased there myself and simply needed to exchange. Needless to say, Target's return policy STINKS. Anyhow, when you live out in the middle of nowhere and there's not much else available, you get drawn further and further into Wal Mart's sticky web and suddenly they've become indispensible. It's no wonder they're the only company still meeting their quarterly earnings projections. I even had my Christmas cards printed there this year. In the words of Master Yoda, "Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny." Help! I am succumbing to the power of the dark side!

You are too cute Cheryl! I think most of us out here would have the same confessional. Especially myself, as I sit here staring at all my WalMart grocery bags sitting on my counter, knowing I need to get them put away and in the frig.
Oh well, there could be worse.
Walmart was and is my go-to for loads of stuff. Where else can you purchase thermals, windshield wiper fluid, kix cereal, and tupper ware for such a price? Where, I ask you? Like you, though, I have had a nagging little tiny Camille sitting on my shoulder while I shop there...whispering about the bad pay and working conditions. Well, too bad conscience! I need some stuff.
Hahaha...you're too funny! I must say I miss the super wal-mart! I often complain that the wal-mart here just doesn't do justice! I mean, what happened to one-stop-shopping?!!
Hey Cheryl! It would be perfectly fine for you to send the Christmas Card to my parents' with our name on it! I dont have our new address memorized yet.
Welcome to the dark side!
I laugh because I share your sentiments about WalMart. I think I have been there everyday for the last week except Sunday. It is just way too close, way too cheap, and has way too much of what I need, and I can get there way to fast. How can I pass that up? No normal mom on the run could turn down that type of convenience.
Resist, Toad, resist! :)
I've been there Cheryl. There are ways out, I tell you. My way out was becoming a Target fanatic, but it sounds like thats not an option for you. You'll have to seek out other options... maybe they have WSA... WalMart Shoppers Annonymous....
a-hem, I'm still waiting for my Christmas Card... ;)
